Queen’s TV is a student run television service for Queen’s University and the Kingston community. Established in 1980, it is one of the oldest student television services in Canada. Queen’s TV has a wide variety of regular programming, so whether you’re interested in sports, campus news, music, or really anything else, there’s a Queen’s TV show for you! This year we will be airing new content every weekday and will include segments on music, cooking, breaking news and interviews, as well as our late night show, intern segments and many more. We operate from our office in the lower ceilidh of the John Deutsch University Center. Queen’s TV is an excellent opportunity to expand one’s experience into the media services, offering opportunities for students to gain experience in the areas of writing, reporting, cinematography, editing, directing, and more. Queen’s TV also hosts Video Factory which produces videos for a variety of campus groups, clubs, and local business. All of our content is shot, captured, and edited by our volunteers. Many students come in with little to no experience, and leave at the end of the season with a plethora of knowledge. Watch a brand new episode of one of our shows Monday through Friday at QueensTV.ca, or watch us on television Wednesday at 9:00pm on TVCogeco 13.
